SMRDAN GRAD

The stone remains of the ancient town of Smrdan grad are located on top of the hill above Klek seaside resort. The well-preserved remains of this Venetian tower, which served for the surveillance of the Bay of Neum, can be reached by a hiking trail from Klek or by car over Slivno Ravno. A large necropolis of 14^th and 15^th century “stećci”-tombstones is located near Smrdan grad. The tower of Gradina contains the church of St Mary, with a gorgeous view of Klek, the Bay of Mali Ston and Pelješac peninsula.
